Hello, and welcome to IDLS!
I’m Aisha Zaara, the Founder of the International Dental Leadership Society (IDLS).
IDLS is the first-ever student-led dental organization in Tbilisi, created by students, for students, with a vision to bring something new to the dental student community.
IDLS was created from a simple belief: dental school should be more than textbooks, exams, and clinical requirements. There are so many things that shape a great dentist that cannot always be taught inside a classroom — leadership, communication, confidence, teamwork, networking, research, creativity, professionalism, and the ability to make an impact beyond the clinic.
I wanted to create a space where dental students could discover and develop these skills alongside their academic journey — a place where they could learn, connect, take initiative, explore new opportunities, and grow both personally and professionally.
Through conferences, workshops, research opportunities, competitions, networking, and student-led initiatives, IDLS aims to give dental students experiences that go beyond the traditional curriculum.
But IDLS is not just about events or certificates. It is about people, opportunities, and growth. It is about encouraging students to step outside their comfort zones, discover their potential, and become confident future leaders in dentistry.
As the Founder, my vision is to build a community where dental students from different backgrounds can come together, learn from one another, share ideas, and contribute to the future of dentistry.
This is only the beginning, and I’m incredibly excited for everything we are going to build together.

Manages budgeting, funding, resources, and all logistical arrangements to ensure smooth execution of events and activities.
Handles IDLS’s online presence by creating engaging content, posts, reels, and maintaining digital outreach.
Focuses on academic writing, dental research initiatives, and evidence-based educational content for students.
Responsible for outreach, promotions, branding, partnerships, and increasing visibility of IDLS within and outside universities.
Manages recruitment, member coordination, communication, and overall internal organization of the society.
IDLS events are designed to make learning active: hear from experts, meet peers, build skills and leave with something useful.

We are excited to invite you to Dental Horizons 2026, the first major in-person conference and workshop organized by International Dental Leadership Society (IDLS) in Georgia.
IDLS is a student-led dental organization created to bring together dental students and future dental professionals through education, leadership, networking, research, and hands-on learning. Our goal is to create opportunities beyond the traditional dental school curriculum and help students develop both their clinical and professional skills.

Dental Horizons 2026 will feature two interactive workshops designed to give participants practical experience and help build confidence in essential clinical skills.
1. Suturing Workshop 🪡
A hands-on session covering fundamental suturing techniques, with participants getting the opportunity to practice under guidance.
2. Emergency Dentistry Workshop 🚨
An interactive session focused on managing common dental emergencies and developing a practical approach to emergency situations in the dental setting.
The “Beyond the White Coat” webinar hosted by Aleena and Mahrukh for the International Dental Leadership Society, featured guest speaker Dr. Fiza Javed (@fizadontist) for an honest look at the real journey behind dentistry!
